Grant Description

On April 21, 2011, the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Kuang Weilin and Sierra Leone's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Joseph B.

Dauda signed the Hand-Over Certificates for China to provide consignments for Sierra Leonean 50th Independence Anniversary Celebrations.

The donation included baseball caps, T-shirts, polos, flags which arrived in Lungi International Airport by a chartered plane on April 16, 2011. Sierra Leone's National Planning Committee for the 50th anniversary formally received the consignments. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
