Grant Description

On November 2, 2016, China provided 20 million yuan (approx 2.9 million USD) in humanitarian aid to flood-hit North Korea upon request by the DPRK government.

According to the Ministry of Commerce, the 20 million yuan aid will be used for emergency response and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
