Grant Description

On 25 November 2016, the Chinese Government donated 254,000 NAD to the Organization for the Empowerment of Widows/Widowers and Orphans of HIV and AIDS in Namibia (OEWONA).

This grant arrived during an economic downturn and drought in Namibia, so OEWONA will use the money to help the NGO stay afloat and assist already vulnerable constituents. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
