Grant Description

Based on an Embassy press release, on May 26, 2010, the Chinese Ambassador signed an economic and technical agreement (ETCA) granting 20 million RMB to the Government of Micronesia for unspecified purposes. The grant was first discussed during a meeting between the two heads of state at the Shanghai World Expo in May 2010.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
