Grant Description

On 12 July 2017, the first batch of 6,300 tons of rice was delivered to Sierra Leone.

The first batch was 2,750 tons of rice and the handover certificate was signed by Sierra Leone's President Ernest Bai Koroma and Wu Peng, Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone in Freetown. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
