President Hu Jintao signs cooperation agreement during State Visit (Linked to Record ID#1314, #1235, #43675, #1315, #30338, #61500, #30403)

On 5 February 2007, Chinese President Hu Jintao met with his counterpart in Namibia and signed a series of cooperation agreements, through which Namibia would receive the following flows: It was reported at the visit that China would provide an interest free loan and a grant (unclear if these were signed via a ETCA), and that between 2007 and 2009, China would provide 1 billion RMB in preferential loans (#1314) and 100 million USD in preferential buyer's credits to Namibia (#1235).

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
