China trains 1,000 Equatorial Guineans as part of Thousand Talents Plan (Linked to Record ID#62269 and #62637)

In 2016, China and Equatorial Guinea agreed to the "Thousand Talents Plan," which set a goal of China training 1,000 Equatorial Guineans in various fields by the end of 2020. It is planned to send 1,000 Chigui students to China for human resources training within five years. As part of this plan, Equatorial Guinea has been sending around 240 trainees to China every year since 2016.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
