Grant Description

On 23 March 2004 during President Urusemal's official visit with Hu Jintao, government officials signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) granting 40 million RMB (roughly $4.84 million in 2004 USD) for unspecified purposes. There was no deadline for when to draw down these funds.

The ETCA was approved by Micronesia's congress on 1 September 2004. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
