Uganda-China South-South Cooperation Phase 2 Project

This is a China-FAO-GoU project which aims at increasing agricultural production and productivity and livelihoods of Ugandans through transfer of technology, knowledge and skills from China to Uganda.

In 2016, China and Uganda signed an agreement through which the Chinese government will provide a US$1.68 million in grant and Uganda will provide Ug shs 3 billion in counterpart funding. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
