Grant Description

China Eximbank pledges to provide $136 million loan for Glass Production Factory Project In 2012, the Export-Import Bank of China agreed in principle to provide a $136 million loan for the exploitation of extra-siliceous mineral deposits by the Africain des Verres IAV-SA company for the eventual purpose of developing a glass processing industry in Senegal.

The project was to be located in the Fass-Boye-Diogo zone within the Department of Tivaouane and the Thies Region. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
