Grant Description

On April 2, 2015, a ceremony was held for the completion of the "Chinese Corner" in the Malian National Library. The "Chinese Corner" project was established by the Hanban of China in cooperation with the National Library of Mali. The Chinese Corner is a space dedicated to the study of Chinese culture and language.

The Chinese government donated 300 books and posters, and $8,000 for the purchase of furniture, for the "Chinese Corner." Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
