Grant Description

As part of the framework agreement for cooperation between Benin state-owned Office des Postes et Télécommunications (OPT) and the Chinese company, ZTE signed in Cotonou on June 24, 2004 during the Chinese Vice-President's stay in Benin, ZTE signed a contract to donate $1.5 million worth of CDMA and GSM telecommunications equipment to Benin.

The equipment was delivered to Cotonou, Benin. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
