Grant Description

On 28 July 2016, the Chinese Government officially donated refrigeration and other equipment valued at 6.85 million RMB to Niger intended to renovate the General Seyni Kountche Stadium in Niamey.

The purpose of this donation is to prepare the stadium for hosting the 2019 Under-20 African Cup of Nations soccer tournament. This donation is apart of the 11th Chinese Technical Mission. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
