China Exim Bank preferential buyer's credit for Osh International Airport Renovation and Expansion On 26 July 2012, Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) signed an MoU for the renovation and expansion of Osh International Airport in Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the August 2012 announcement of this signing, the project was expected to invest 200 million US dollars and planned to use a preferential buyer's credit from China Exim Bank to finance the project.
It is unclear whether or not China Exim Bank was expected to partially or wholly finance the project, so no transaction amount has been coded.
As of June 2019 there are no updates regarding BUCG or China Exim Bank funding for this project, so it seems the project may have proceeded without Chinese financing. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
