Grant Description

On December 11, 2017, government of China and government and Republic of Congo signed the letter of exchange to implement the "Access to satellite TV in ten thousand African villages" in Rep of Congo (刚果（布）万村通项目).

This project is the Congo part of the overall project "Access to satellite TV in ten thousand African villages" announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping, together with the African participants of the Conference, at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation at the Johannesburg Summit in 2015 (described in #57618). 100 villages in Congo across 12 provinces will be affected.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
