Grant Description
In 2015, China committed to the installation of new meteorological observation stations in Comoros.
Its commitment was part of a larger international campaign by China to install meteorological posts around the Indian Ocean.
A report from the Bank of Comoros states that a total of 20 meteorological stations were installed in Comoros and at least one of these was placed at the airport in Anjoun (Rapport Annuel 2015). Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
