China donates disaster relief supplies to Comoros

On May 9, 2013, Chinese officials delivered a batch of disaster relief materials to Comoros after a series of destructive storms hit the archipelago.

In addition to a cash donation of an undisclosed amount, China gave Comoros 4 mobile generator sets, 4 hydraulic jacks, 10 electric saws, 2600 blankets, and 500 tents. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
