Grant Description

On November 15, 2005, during the Communist Party of China Politburo Standing Committee (CPC) Li Changchun's visit to Sudan, Chinese and Sudanese government officials signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement, which included free assistance (中国政府向苏丹政府提供无偿援助).

Chinese Vice-Minister of Commerce Wei Jianguo and Sudan ’s Minister of International Cooperation Tijani and Minister of Finance and National Economy Zubair signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments in Khartoum. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
