China provides technical training course for 20 government officials from Comoros

On October 13, 2016, 20 Comorian government technicians departed Comoros for China where they participated in training courses designed to enhance their capabilities to successfully run a coal-fired power plant in Comoros.

The training was organized and sponsored by North China Electrical Power University and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The training was completed on November 3, 2016. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
