Chinese engineers renovate primary school in Nyala (Linked to Record ID#2187 and #57283)

On May 20, 2012, engineers from China's peacekeeping missions to Sudan began renovation of the China-Sudan Friendship Primary School in Nyala, South Darfur (尼亚拉中苏友谊小学基础设施续建).

Their main tasks were to repair the school classrooms, level hardened ground, install circuits, and build a basketball court to create a more comfortable working and learning environment for the teachers and students. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
