Grant Description

Chinese Government commits RMB 10 million interest free loan to Ghana — through ETCA — for unspecified purposes On May 18, 2009, the Chinese government signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement with the government of Ghana. Under this agreement, China loaned 10 million RMB interest-free to Ghana.

The funds are supposedly intended to help with the construction of schools, roads, and the development of agriculture in the country. The agreement was signed by Kwabena Duffour, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Ghana. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
