Chinese Government donates materials worth RMB 10 million to Mohammed V Solidarity Fund

On 24 April 2006, Chinese President Hu Jintao arrived in Rabat, Morocco, kicking off his state visit to the country.

During the visit President Hu Jintao committed to donating aid material worth 10 Million RMB to the Moroccan Mohammed V Solidarity (Arabic: مؤسسة محمد الخامس للتضامن‎) Fund.

Aid material includes furniture, electrical appliances, computers, and materials such as jeeps, vans, and vehicles for the disabled.

According to a statement put out by Embassy of China to Morocco, the aid materials will benefit nearly 200,000 children in 300 social centers across the country and several disability centers in remote areas. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
