Grant Description

On February 15 and 19, 2012, Chinese and Sudanese officials signed letters of exchange to provide a set of equipment for the Advanced Computing Center (ACT) at the African City of Technology in Khartoum to help promote the development of information technology in Sudan (中国援苏丹非洲科技城超级计算中心设备项目).

On July 3, 2012, an agreement between the Advanced Computing Center at the African City of Technology and Chinese technology company Inspur was signed for Inspur to implement the project. The Chinese Minister of Commerce reported that the equipment was officially handed over to Sudan on December 12, 2012.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
