Grant Description

On July 9, 2009, a handover ceremony was held for the donation of antimalarial drugs from the Chinese government to the Central African Republic Ministry of Public Health and Population.

It is unclear how much the donation cost, though the Agence Centrafricaine de Presse reports that in 2009 China donated drugs and medical devices amounting to RMB 400,000.

Since this estimate combines the apparent cost of total drugs donated in 2009, as well as medical devices, the transaction amount for the specific donation captured in this project has been left blank. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
