China donates 26 sets of biogas equipment to Taba Village, White Nile State, Sudan

On October 8, 2011, Counsellor Liu Zengxian and relevant staff of the Chinese Embassy in Sudan traveled to Taba village in the White Nile state to donate 26 sets of biogas equipment as part of the White Nile Biogas Phase II Demonstration Project (白尼罗州沼气二期示范项目). The biogas equipment was donated and built by the Embassy.

The biogas project as a successful and beneficial attempt not only improved the living conditions of local villagers, but also had a positive demonstration effect on the future use of clean energy in Sudan. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
