Grant Description

On August 7, 2013, Chinese ambassador to Sudan Luo Xiaoguang signed and submitted a letter to Sudan pledging to help Sudan with a solar mobile power project.

On August 14, 2013, Sultan ’s Minister of National Economy and Finance Ali Mahmoud Abdullah Soul replies to the Sudanese government for confirmation.

Under the framework of "China-Africa Non-governmental Friendship Action", the Chinese Embassy in Sudan cooperated with the Sanad Charitable Foundation of Sudan to fund for this project. The value of the grant is unknown. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
