Grant Description

On May 28, 2010, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council established a Chinese Cultural Center (中哥文化教育中心) in downtown San Jose.

It is a non-profit organization that offers Mandarin classes, among other activities, intended to promote Chinese culture in Costa Rica. The embassy also donated some textbooks and computers to the center. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
