Grant Description

Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah paid an official visit to China from 15-18 May 2016.

In a joint statement released during the visit, it was stated that in 2016, the Chinese Government will provide RMB500 million of grants to the Afghan Government for the mutually agreed project of Afghanistan International Exhibition Center in Kabul. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
