China Development Bank will provide Uzbekistan with a loan of $37.2 million for communication projects In 2012, the China Development Bank planned to provide Uzbekistan with a loan of US$37.2 million for the implementation of ICT projects, of which US$10 million will be used to help Uzbekistan's universities join the “E-education” network (Record ID#54034), US$18.19 million will be used to help Uzbek Telecom develop the CDMA-450 mobile network (#54035), and US$9.01 million will be used to help Uzbek Telecom to implement FTTx fiber technology (Record ID#54035).

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
