Chinese Government provides RMB 20 million grant to address climate change in the Gwadar Region

On April 20, 2015, the Chinese Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide an RMB 20 million grant to the Government of Pakistan to address climate change in the Gwadar Region. On December 29, 2016, a supplementary agreement was signed, committing the grant agreement to Pakistan.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
