China donates $1 million in material aid to Afghanistan's Legislature

In April 2005, during the period that Afghan Vice President visited to China, China government pledged to provide suppliers that worth $1 million to support the parliamentary election of the Afghan government.

The grants include 24 sets of security monitoring system, 20 jeeps, 20 pickup trucks, lots of cooking utensils, and others. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
