Grant Description

On May 15, 2002, Chinese Minister of Foreign Affair Tang Jiaxuan signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) granting $30 million USD to Afghanistan.

The purpose of this grant is to immediately and actively implement the commitments made by China to the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
