China Sends International Rescue Medical Team of 50 people to Pakistan for flood relief (Linked to Record ID#53534)

To assist the Pakistani people and the army in fighting the floods, an international rescue medical team of 50 sent by the Chinese People's Liberation Army arrived in Karachi, the capital of Sindh province, on the afternoon of October 20, 2011. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
