China offers hydropower technological training seminar to 30 Rwandan professionals (Linked to Record ID#53270)

On July 20th, 2016, the official opening ceremony of China's hydropower technology overseas class was held in Rwanda.

The delegate of the Chinese Business Office to Rwanda, Zhang Yongyong, the director of the Rural Electrification Institute of the Ministry of Water Resources, Xu Jincai and the general manager of the Energy Development Corporation, Kamanzi, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The 25 participants who participated in the 20-day training also attended the ceremony.

This bilateral training course will promote the exchange of experience between China and Rwanda in the field of small hydropower technology. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
