Chinese Consulate Donates Supplies to Orphanages in Cameroon

On June 2, 2016, the Chinese Consulate in Douala, Cameroon donated flour and rice sacks, vegetable oil and sugar cartons, mineral water, gas plates, plastic chairs, footwear, detergents, a television set and stationery to the orphanages Synergie Fraternite des Orphelins et Enfant Vulnerables (SYFOEV) and the Japoma-based orphanage, Maison d'accueil et de securisation des enfants en detresse (MESED).

The donation benefited 54 orphans and vulnerable children. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
