Grant Description

In 2015, China signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Uganda, to train Ugandans with repair skills for hydropower plants.

China sends around 300 employees a year to Uganda for training, and this MoU comes a time of greater demand for hydropower construction in Uganda. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
