Chinese embassy donates consignments to Badbaado Orphanage Center in Mogadishu, Somalia

In June 2015, according to the Chinese embassy in Somalia, Wei Hongtian, the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, donated blankets, chairs, tables, backpacks, and educational supplies the Badbaado Orphanage Center in Mogadishu, which houses 121 orphans. The Embassy supports the program through the “China-Africa People-to-People Friendship Action” Program.

Mohamed Omar Dalha, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, and some representatives from local community attended the hand-over ceremony. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
