Grant Description

On September 16, 2014, in the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Madam Xu Lin, Chief Executive of Confucius Institute Headquarters and Director General of Hanban, signed an agreement on the joint establishment of the Confucius Institute at University of Colombo with Dr.

W. K. Hirimburegama, Vice-Chancellor of the University. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
