Grant Description

In March and June 2010, during talks between H.E. Sheikh Hasina, the Hon'ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh and H.E.

Xi Jinping, Vice President of China China pledged to grant 60 million RMB to Bangladesh under an economic and technical cooperation agreement. It has not been specified what this grant amount will be used for. During the meetings China pledged a total of 100m RMB; the remaining 40m is captured in project 34251.

According to a 2017 report from the Economic Relations Division, the pledged amount has yet to be dispersed. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
