Grant Description

In July 2007, the Chinese government pledged to provide anti-malaria medicine worth 3 million RMB to southern Sudan along with gratuitous aid of 20 million yuan.

On November 4 and December 3, 2007, the Chinese government and Sudanese government signed letters of exchange to provide 3 million RMB worth of medicine. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
