Grant Description

In July 2005, during the official visit of PNG Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Sir Rabbie Namaliu in China, the Chinese government signed letters of exchange for USD180,000 in grant assistance to finance a feasibility study on the provision of 200 units of wind-driven power generators the Duke of York Islands in East New Britain.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
