Chinese Government provides RMB 10 million grant for provision of prevention and relief materials to fight Ebola

On October 10, 2014, Nigeria’s Federal Government and the Chinese Government signed an agreement on RMB 10 million grant agreement for the provision of medical protection and treatment equipment to support the country’s Ebola response activities. The Minister/ Deputy Chairman National Planning Commission, Dr.

Abubakar Sulaiman, signed the agreement on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria while Ambassador Guo Xiaojie signed on behalf of the Chinese government. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
