Grant Description

In 2006, the Chinese Government provided RMB 260 million in grant funding to support the Shar Shar (Ozodi) Tunnel Construction Project.

Previously, in July 2005, China and Tajikistan reached an agreement for providing assistance for the construction of the Shar Shar (Ozodi) Tunnel. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
