Chinese government provides scholarships to 8 Jamaican students under the Chinese Government's Scholarship Programme

On 4 August 2009, the Chinese government awarded eight Jamaican students full scholarships to pursue Master's Degrees in China under the Chinese Government's Scholarship Programme.

The scholarship is in full and includes tuition, accommodations, meals, clothing allowance, study materials, and medical care. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
