Chinese government commits 10 million yuan in grant aid for the implementation of technical and economic projects

In June 2005, during the visit of Jamaica Prime Minister P.J.

Patterson in China from from 17 to 24 June, both countries signed technical cooperation agreements with the Chinese government providing 10 million yuan or approximately US$1.25 million in grant aid for the implementation of economic and technical projects. The current status of the project is uncertain.

Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve. Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
