China Eximbank commits $60 million USD to finance the Gas Domiciliario 39K project in Bolivia in 2009 On November 18th 2009, the Bolivian government issued a press release stating that the Export-Import Bank of China agreed to give a concessional loan of 60 million USD to finance the “Gas Domiciliario 39K” project.

This project is expected to benefit more than 100 thousand new users within Bolivia and will help develop the National Program for Exploration and Exploitation under the Bolivian oil field project: YPFB.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Public Finance will establish the transfer of reimbursable resources and is responsible for compliance with the conditions governing the loan agreement. This project had an initial target of 39,000 natural gas installations in homes and surpassed this goal. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
