Grant Description

In 2006, the Chinese government sent the third medical team to PNG.

Chinese Embassy in PNG realized in 2000 that PNG needed medical doctors badly, leading to the decision to include a medical team as part of China's economic assistance to the country. The doctors, specializing in a variety of fields, worked at Port Moresby General Hospital for two years until 2008. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.

Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
