Grant Description
On January 31, 2007, the Chinese government donated medical supplies to the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the World Health Organization (WHO) in response to the 2004 tsunami.
A total of USD 2.13 million of aid materials, including 15 ambulances, 10 cooling containers for blood preservation and 10 operating suits, as well as X-ray, ultrasonography and electrocardiogram units will be donated to Aceh Hospital and Medical Center. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
