Grant Description
On January 22, 2010, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Chen Jian and Director General for Asia Pacific and African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs T.M Hamzah Thayeb signed a Memorandum of Understanding on grant assistance in relation to economic and technical cooperation between the two countries.
According to the MoU, China will grant 20 million yuan to Indonesia, which will be used to implement the economic and technical bilateral cooperation projects. Exact project details were not specified. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
