Grant Description
A Chinese International Rescue and Medical Team were sent to Yogyakarta in response to an earthquake that struck Yogyakarta, measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale, on May 27, 2006.
The 43-person team, consisting of 19 doctors and nurses and several seismological experts, boarded a charter flight together with medical supplies, arriving in Bantul, Yogyakarta in the early morning of May 30, 2006. They also established a field hospital is located in SMA II Bantul. Loan applications and disbursements are still being received and processed as the projects continue to evolve.
Ongoing monitoring and evaluation are in place to ensure project continuity.
